These are my in-laws, Randy and Nancy. Aren't they cute?!! I just love them to pieces. One thing I hoped for when I eventually got married was that I'd have great in-laws. God CERTAINLY provided that! I can't tell you how much Randy and Nancy have blessed my life, and Jon and Mylo's. They are such wonderful people. I have always appreciated them, but now that Mylo has joined our lives, I appreciate them even more. They are the BEST grandparents. It brings so much joy to my heart to watch them with Mylo. First of all, they are so selfless and just LOVE hanging out with Mylo. I remember when Mylo was just a "fresh one" and Nancy would come over to help me. I was SO overwhelmed and had the "baby blues" big time. She just listened and made me feel so much better. And now she watches him every Thursday so I can go to my Beth Moore Bible study group. And Randy takes a little time off in the morning too to come over. They usually come over at least one other time than that per week, which we love. It's just so neat watching them interact with Mylo. And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE seeing his face light up when he sees them now. He definitely recognizes them and enjoys their company so much. I read an article in Focus on the Family last week that described the roll of a grandparent so well. They don't have to worry about folding the laundry, running errands, etc. They just get to focus ALL of their attention on their grandkids and love on them. It's such a blessing to watch them just play with Mylo. It's good for them, good for Mylo, and good for ME to have a little break! God knew what he was doing when He made that relationship dynamic, and He CERTAINLY knew what He was doing when He made Randy and Nancy! I thank God for them everyday!
