Monkey Love

Is it just me, or does anyone else LOVE seeing their kids with a beloved stuffed animal or blankie? I just think its THE MOST adorable thing to see Mylo with his special friend, Monkey. He snuggles up to it, hugs it and makes these adorable little noises as if to say, "Oh Monkey, I couldn't love you more."

He normally just plays with Monkey in his crib, or just upstairs. This photo is one of the occasions he decided Monkey needed to come downstairs for some extra snuggles. I love watching him walk around holding him by his tail, and then remember that Monkey probably needs a squeeze here or a snuggle there. :)

I'd love to hear your stories of your kids special toy or blankie!

Yes, I love seeing kids with their "cozies"! Benji has a blanket that he named "Geep". It's so ugly and dingey, but he's had it since he was born and it still totally in love with it. He uses it to make mountains for his action figures to hide in, it's been a steel wall to prevent bad guys from breaking in, and when he takes it to bed, he rubs the folds of it between his fingers. Once he rubbed it so hard that he had a blister in the same place on the front and back of his thumb!

I'm 24 and I found my teddy and blankie from when I was little when we moved a few weeks ago. They both brought back so many memories for me! Now they have their own special place in our linen closet. Two of our nephews have "towels" that they must have to go to sleep. The boys are only 5 & 3 and their towels are almost completely worn out. I hate to see what happens when they are completely holey!

So so cute! I love watching my two youngest with their blankies! My almost three year old hikes hers up over her shoulder then tucks in under her chin as she walks around with her finger in her mouth. Cute, but a day will come soon when we have to do something about the finger- and the baby's thumb! Not so easy like it was to rid the oldest two of their "pipeys" Oh I hope I can get the new one to love a pacifier. Although climbing under the crib in the dark without contacts searching for the pipey while the baby screams is no fun either.
