We had a lovely Independance Day, how about you?
We started off the morning with our town's parade. Its simple THE BEST parade. Lots of firetrucks, tractors, horses, and most importantly...CANDY.

Mylo is definitely our child.
GIVE. ME. CANDY...
It didn't take Mylo long to learn how to unwrap candy by himself. I lost track of how much he ate, but at one point, he had 2 suckers, one in each hand, and was alternating sucks on them. Tee-hee. :)
Then that evening I had the honor and privilege to lead worship with my friend Pam. We are on different worship teams, and this was the 1st time we got to sing together!
I loved worshipping God next to my wonderful girlfriend on 4th of July. HE is the ultimate source of FREEDOM!!
I ended the evening snuggled up to my sweetheart on blankets in our front yard, watching our town's fireworks, with a thankful heart for all the wonderful freedoms I have.

Great post. I am glad you had a great day. We did too. I had never been to a 4th parade til yesterday...and I just think it is odd to throw candy...LOL That's what they did at ours as well....
The kids and I were going to go to the parade. Then Paul got sick so that was out. I'm glad you guys had a great time. Loved Mylo with the suckers. Smart boy. :-)

Oh my..what i surprise, I am reading your blog, scrolling down and see a very familiar face!
Let me preface here: I started reading your blog when I was going to maybe come to the zoo wit you all and Drea, had last minute change of plan with out of town guests and couldn't come...but how funny!
Pam and Jake were my youth pastors, and I LOVE them. Just saw her here in town with her kids last week!
