Ok peeps. BEST.THING.EVER. happened to me today. Kind of like a dream come true.
I opened up my email this morning to find an email from a dear blogger friend, Jen from 4tunate. To my utter surprise, she informed me she was on an impromptu weekend getaway to Columbus, which just so happens to be where I live, and asked if I wanted to get together.
Ummm...lemme think....
OF COURSE I WANTED TO GET TOGETHER!!
Quick background...I didn't know a thing about blogging, and stumbled upon Jen's blog through reading about her on Baby Cheapskate almost 2 years ago. Reading her blog inspired me to start my own blog. It has been wonderful following Jen's blog over the years having a "sneak peak" into her life raising quadruplet boys. So you can imagine how absolutely THRILLED I was at the opportunity to meet her and her husband!!
We decided to meet up at the famous, yet hole-in-the-wall restaurant, Thurman's. It's been featured on the Food Network, so we figured it would be a good experience for Brad and Jen. :)
Here we are outside, during our hour and a half wait! But it was a good opportunity to chat...

Errrrrr....how cute is she??! I kinda just wanted to squeeze her but thought that might freak her out a bit. :)
Cutest couple ever deciding what to eat...

"Thurman burger, all the way, baby!"...

Arghhh...could they be any more adorable??!
Brad and Jen are seriously the sweetest, easiest people to be around. I am SO thankful for the opportunity to spend some time with them today. What a wonderful surprise and GREAT way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
And on a sidenote, my kids were amazingly wonderful throughout the wait and meal. I was shocked at how good they were being, which probably gave Brad and Jen the impression that we are really good at parenting. :) It was kind of just a fluke though. ;)
Now I just CAN'T WAIT to meet their kids!! We're only a 3 hour drive away, so one of these days we'll make that happen!
