He makes me lie down in green pastures

We pick our kids' names based on their meaning, and Desmond is no exception. Desmond means "refreshing", and we need a little refreshing after having 3 kids within 4 years!


I also pray that the Lord would give me a bible verse that is just for them. Since picking Desmond's name, I always felt the Lord pressing Psalm 23 on my heart. Shame on me, I don't have it memorized...and I kept forgetting to look it up!


The other day, I finally looked it up.


"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He refreshes my soul."
Psalm 23:1-3
