Yesterday we took the boys to their very 1st movie at the theater!
And what movie does every little boy want to see?
CARS 2 of course!!
We've been anticipating this movie for quite some time, and were so excited to take the boys to their first theater movie. However, Cars 2 came out the day after Desmond was born, so we waited a bit until we had our "bearings" as parents of 3 before we ventured to the theater.
They did.....um.....pretty well, I suppose. LOL! As well as you can expect from a 2 1/2 and 4 year old. (Desmond, however, did GREAT - he slept the whole time!)
They got up alot...switched seats, checked out the stairs, climbed on the railing, etc. Daddy got a big bucket of popcorn, so that lured them back to a sitting position...most of the time. :)
The boys were really excited, and loved the movie. All in all, it was a great experience, and a fun family memory.
We of course had to stop at Target on the way home to get some cars from the movie. :)
(Those things are EXPENSIVE, by the way! I would have loved to get the pack with all the cars, but it was $30! So we ended up with McQueen, Francesco, and Finn McThistle.)

awe how fun. I took Owen to the theater when he was like a month old too - http://dreawood.com/2010/04/sleepywrap-movie-theaters/ - he slept the entire movie.
My boys went to see Cars 2 with my dad - they took them while we were in GA at the COR interview. Any how, they ended up leaving before it ended, apparently it wasnt s good as the 1st :) - but still funny, so my boys said.
That was the first movie I took my boys to as well! We had a good time too.
We went to the movies with newborns...easy peasy! One time we had newborn Ava and so Benji was fairly little...He had a coughing fit so Marvin took him out and he ended up throwing up in the lobby of the theater!! I was sitting in the movie with Alec and probably a nursing Ava and kept wondering where they were for so long! LOL!
fun!!
What did you think of the movie?? We've gotten mixed reviews:)
I just took my girls to their first movie too. We went and saw Winnie the Pooh. It was lots of fun, although the girls were up and down a lot as well.
