Desmond is just shy of 7 months old. He is eating all sorts of foods now...butternut squash, sweet potatoes, avocado, pears, apples, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and most recently...puffs.

It's crazy to me that he can already grab them and feed himself. How did he get so big so fast?

I have always made my babies' food, and of course am doing the same with Desi.

"Mmmmm Mommy! You make THE BEST sweet potato/butternut squash puree..."

I just got a new baby food recipe book to review on SIMPLE. Blueberry Banana Buckle for baby? Yes please! I can't wait to try some of the recipes.

Desmond can also hold his bottle himself, thanks to the handle attachments from Think Baby bottles.

(While I like Think Baby products, I don't care for the nipples. I use Green to Grow nipples, as they fit perfectly with Think Baby bottles. Green to Grow also makes handles for their bottles. We use their bottles too, and I prefer Green to Grow over Think Baby.)
I am still breastfeeding Desmond and am hoping to continue until he's at least 1.
While I LOVE having a little tiny baby who is solely dependent on me for everything...I will say I'm enjoying this little bit of independence that comes with him being able to feed himself some puffs and hold his own bottle.
Life is SO RICH with these 3 little boys!
