Indy? Don't mind if I do.

My aunt is dating this man as of lately, and she is in *Lovvvvvve* with him. His name is Dieter. Every year we get together to celebrate her birthday. This year, her request was that we take the party on the road and head to her boyfriend's house in Indianapolis.

Indianapolis? I didn't have to think twice. I've got friends in the Hoosier state!!

I packed up Desmond (and a pack 'n play, portable highchair, jumparoo, toys, diapers, bottles, breastpump, 18 changes of clothes, etc...) and we headed west.

First stop...Emily's house...

...where I got to meet Paul. *swoon*

Let me stand on my soap box and dish about Emily a little bit. She is lovely. I could stare at her all day because she's beautiful. But what I love most about her is that she's real. Follow her blog and you'll fall in love with a woman who is just honest about life...the ups and downs and straight up reality of life with a gaggle of kids.

I was only able to stay for about an hour, and I so wish it could have been a full day. Her house has an underlying peace even in the midst of chaos. She's one of those people you just want to be around...enjoying her wonderfulness despite interrupted conversations and only being able to half listen because you've got one ear and one eye on your kids. Those are my favorite kind of friends because the get it. She even let me change a poopy diaper on the pretty rug you see up there. Now THAT'S a friend.

She also happens to be incredibly talented, funny, witty and can rock a unitard like no other.

Next stop on the Indy-train was my sweet friend Jen's house!

And what luck for me...I got to be there for her boys' 5th birthday party!

Yep, all 4 of them turned 5. Because they're quadruplets. Before I dish on the wonderfulness of Jen, let me tell you how much I adore these boys. I have "watched" them grown up through Jen's blog since they were around 6 months old. There is something about these boys that is SO SPECIAL. They are truly a gift out of God's very own pocket, and I feel really blessed to know them. I don't think I've ever met boys that were more sweet than these four!

And these boys obviously get their sweetness from their parents. Brad and Jen are probably THE NICEST people ever! They're love for eachother and their boys is so evident. The handful of times I've gotten to be around them, you can just see joy radiating from them. Their life is the perfect example of Proverbs 3:5-6 and Philippians 4:13. They humbly walk out their lives submitted to the Lord, and it is inspiring! Bottom line...they're just super cool, fun people.

I reluctantly peeled myself away from those wonderful boys, and headed to Dieter's house to meet up with my aunt, mom, sister, and nephew. To my utter delight, we had an INCREDIBLE meal...

Oh yes, because Dieter is a chef. UH-MAZING.

And we celebrated my aunt's birthday with lots of laughs, and a few tears too.

The weekend went by way too fast. It's always nice to see bloggy friends in person and spend time with people you love!
