A couple days ago we got some snow! Of course the kids instantly wanted to bundle up and head outside to play. Desmond didn't necessarily SAY he wanted to, but I could tell by the ornery glimmer in his eye that he was ready to have his first play-in-the-snow experience.
Bundled...
Teehee...SNOW!
"Wow, are these gloves shaped like SHARKS? You're blowing my mind mom."...
"Where are my brothers?"
There's one! Sweet Phinny...
There's the other one! Mylo could play in the snow all day...
Sooooo happy...
Meanwhile, closer to the garage, this guy hasn't moved...
Hasn't decided how he feels about being in 18 layers of clothes standing in cold, wet snow. What's not to love Desmond?...
He finally decided to move. Into the garage. MUCH happier...
...with a perfect view of his brothers "helping" mommy shovel...
Then he decided he'd be better off WITHOUT the boots walking through the snow in his socks. Makes sense.
"Ok yeah, my feet are totally cold. Let's go in."
It's so easy to get a picture of all three boys together, smiling, looking at the camera. Like a Courier and Ives postcard, I tell ya...
After we went inside I overheard Mylo ask Phin to play Candyland with him. *melt mom's heart* This was the first time I've seen them initiate playing a board game just the two of them, without asking me to help, or heaven forbid play along. Perfect snowy day activity!
So there's still snow on the ground, and it's looking very possible for us to have a white Christmas here! It always feels so much more "Christmas-y" when there's snow.
(my neighborhood transforms to look like this when we get at least 4" of snow, doesn't everyone's?)
