3rd PlaceThis goes to Dr. Costa at Kingsdale Gynecologic Associates for cheerfully calling me back at 4:00 in the morning yesterday. Because of the severity of my migraine, and the amount of medicine I had already taken, she instructed me to go to the ER. She gets a big trophy for being so friendly, compassionate, and concerned at such an early hour!
2nd PlaceThis goes to my mother-in-law, who came over at 4:30 in the morning to be with Mylo while we went to the emergency room. AND she folded laundry and did dishes while she was here. Man, told ya she was the best!
1st PlaceThis goes to my amazing husband who took me to the ER at 4:30 in the morning, and stayed with me there until 8:45. Then when we got home, he took care of Mylo all day WHILE he worked from home. I slept all day. He is amazing.
The Razzie Award (the award for being the worst)This goes to the Emergency Room at St. Ann's Hospital. They were S.L.O.W., uncompassionate, short-tempered, and it was FREEZING in there. They also gave me some sort of medication that has made my anxiety levels sky high for the past 24 hours. Worse than it was BEFORE God did that great healing at the women's retreat! I couldn't relax there, and it was just a terrible experience.
I have really been suffering from a lot of migraines lately. I'm not really sure what's wrong, but I think it has to do with the heat and being out in the sun. I've had terrible ones though, and they've been lasting 24+ hours. Errr. But honestly, I'd rather feel that pain than the anxiety I'm feeling right now...that's the absolute worst. I've been reading that verse in Isaiah, praying, worshipping, etc. No changes yet, so if you think about it, pray for me!

Hi Kate,
I'm so sorry to hear about your migraines! I starting having migraines for the first time when Gracie was 8 months old. They don't last as long as yours but I have been getting them more frequently lately...as a matter of fact I went to the doctor last week to see if they could give me a prescription. They gave me some trials of Frova. We'll see....
I hated getting mirgraines when I was preggo with Gauge b/c there's very little you can take. Errr ;( I will absolutely keep you in my prayers! Thanks again for the concert invite on Sunday. I would love for our family to get together sometime :)

So were they worried about the meds affecting the baby, or did they send you to the ER to give you more meds?
Have you thought about the possibility of food allergies/sensitivities? Allergies cause inflamation and are notorious for causing migraines. Brittany has almost deleted her awful migraines by getting tested (at our chiropractor) and eliminating certain foods temporarily from her diet.
Just some "food for thought" (Ha!)
Uggg... i'm so sorry! I used to have migraines weekly sometimes more and they would be completely debilitation. They were horrible. I've struggled with them for years and this past 2 years I've really made a lot of changes in my diet and supplements and they are almost completely gone...it's rare when I get one now and I usually know why. Like Shelly said our chiropractor helped me A LOT... it wasn't easy figuring it out but better than at the regular dr. that I had been trying for years. It might be worth a shot.
hope you feel better soon
