Pools and Popsicles

Mylo had his very first pool and popsicle experience the other day! Here he is, ready to go in his 'Lil Swimmers. Just a little camera shy...but he has no reason to be with legs like that!...

In the pool with his buddy Ethan...

By the way, he hated the pool. Well, pretty much anything new he hates at first. I'm sure he'll end up LOVING it, just like with the wagon.

Then he had his first taste of a popsicle...

Mmm, mmm, good! He couldn't quite figure out that you hold the stick and not the popsicle, but either way he thought it was delicious! (I love the purple popsicle juice running down his belly!)...

He was much happier on the outside of the pool, where he could just splash the water with his hands. Ethan, however, had a blast!...

We did have our fun zoo and splash park adventure the next morning. I think I'll save doing those sorts of things for when Jon can come along! Mylo was great at the zoo, riding happily in his wagon. Then by the time we got to the splash park he was super tired since he had missed his morning nap. He didn't really want anything to do with the water, and just clung to me like a little koala bear. Normally I don't mind, but by that time I was HOT AND TIRED, since it was 93 degrees out! But Jon took Monday off, so I think we're going to go back. This time I'm going to wear my bathing suit (with a cover-up, thank-you-very-much) so that way I can just go right into all the fun splashy stuff with my little koala bear. And Jon can carry all the stuff. : )

Kate, take this excuse to eat all the good sweets and whatever other junk food you are craving! Sorry you missed donut day though. What a bummer.

Love the popsickle belly shot :) Too cute. I can't wait for the kids to use theirs....except we don't have any grass yet.

Ava holds the popsicle instead of the stick, also!
I haven't had her in a baby pool yet, but she was absolutely TERRIFIED of the slip-n-slide over the weekend!

what a cutie! Ozzie had a push pop a few weeks ago and it was ADORABLE to watch him eat it. he had it all over his face from sticking his face in it to get it out because he wouldn't let me touch it to push it up. Ha.

see you soon
