The power is back!!

Well we survived 3 days without power! You never realize how much you rely on electricity until you don't have it! I am now thoroughly enjoying running the dishwasher, the garbage disposal, doing laundry, and of course, getting to pee with the bathroom light on. :) The neighborhood right behind us is apparently on a different grid, so they had power almost immediately, yet we lost ours for 3 days. ??? Our neighbors were gracious enough to "plug us in", so we were able to have our fridge plugged in...THANK GOD. Here are some pictures of our jimmy-rigged power line...

The extension cord had an extra outlet on it, so we were able to plug other things into it. Top priority...charge my laptop and cell phone!...


So those 3 days actually weren't too bad. Our gracious neighbors made it much more tolerable.

On another note, SOMEONE is a big time helper. Not only to me, but to Sophie.

And somewhere along the lines, Sophie has forgotten how to feed herself. Luckily, Mylo is here to help. He really enjoys grabbing handfuls of her food and setting it on the floor for her to eat...



WHAT would we DO without this little guy?! I surely wouldn't have a very organized kitchen, and poor Sophie would probably starve to death.
