I am a blog neglecter. So here we go again, let's play catch-up.
Here's what we've been up to the last 3 weeks or so since I last blogged!
(By the way, my last blog was about Mylo's gymnastics. He's been back twice since and it is going AWESOME! He LOVES it!!)
Mylo and I have been doing homeschooling stuff, which has been lots of fun. Nothing major, just a 1/2 hour here and there of fun, educational activities.
Here he is working on his Brain Quest Alphabet, which we are doing a giveaway of on SIMPLE right now! (ends 9/23) Go sign up to win if you haven't already...we LOVE these products!

Phinny is getting so big and active and TALKATIVE!! His vocabulary is amazing, he repeats just about everything! Having a big brother to follow around definitely makes him seem much more of a big boy. He's going to be TWO soon, can you believe it??!

Speaking of brothers, Mylo and Phinny play SO well together. Don't get me wrong, they have their moments. But my initial plan of having two boys close in age so they'd be besties has definitely worked out! :)

One day we got to watch my friends' daughter for a few hours, which gave me a tiny taste of what having 3 kids would be like. :) Here's how my kitchen table would look at meal time:

My boys of course taught her all there is to know about cars, trucks, building forts, and jumping on couches. She was way to sweet to join in on the trouble. Ah, SUCH a difference between boys and girls!
Mylo and I baked cut out cookies together last week. He was SO cute and helpful...

And last but definitely not least, we got the boys "big boy" furniture! Whoo-hoo! SO exciting. Yes, at 3 1/2 Mylo was still sleeping in his crib, can you believe it? But he loved it and never climbed out, so we just kept him in there! We've been keeping our eye out for furniture for like a year now, and FINALLY we found the deal we were waiting for! Thank you Craigslist!!
It came from a family who's two boys were grown and out of the house, and they were selling two sets of furniture for a ridiculously great price. Each set has the same pieces, just different style. Each has the headboard for a twin bed, nightstand, dresser with mirror, desk with hutch and chair. They are in GREAT condition!
Here's some of Mylo's...

He picked out pirate bedding. :)
Here's some of Phinny's:

Phinny is still in his crib, so we won't set up the big boy bed until he's ready for that. We also want to change the hardware on his furniture to give it a little more modern look. I also need to DECORATE in their rooms so they're not so drab looking!
All in all, we are thrilled at the great find...they'll be able to have this furniture forever!

Wondering how you guys were doing! Guess it means it is time for me to take Bailey out of her crib! Love the new furniture!
Well there you are. Great to see what's going on with you. The boys are adorable.
Exact same thing I wanted for my boys, to be close in age (they're 17.5 months apart) and to be best friends. They are 27 months now and almost 45 months (just over 2 and just under 4 years old), and even though they have their moments (one is shrieking right now), they play VERY well together ;) Exactly what I wanted.
So fun to catch up, Kate! Love you in the apron - you're such a cute mama! Those boys...they get me every time with those eyes. Must kiss their cheeks soon! LOVE the pirate bedding too. ARRRRRRR!
