Makin' out on the slopes

Yesterday we had a decent snow storm, which meant only one thing to Jon and I...TIME TO HIT THE SLOPES!

Jon and I met doing a church plant in Colorado, and he taught me to ski while we lived there.  We spent a lot of our dating time skiing together, so it brings back fun memories and special times.

We made plans to meet up with some friends to go skiing/snowboarding bright and early this morning.  Last night when we told the kids what we were going to do, Mylo asked if we were going to kiss and stuff while we were out during our special mommy-daddy time.  LOL!  Of course our answer was yes...I mean WHAT ELSE would you do to pass the time on those ski lifts?  Obvs we would be making out.

(Proof for Mylo that we "kissed and stuff".  However, there was no other "stuff" besides kissing, lmao!)

Happy to be out of the house, away from the kids, doing something together that we love...

We had lots of fun and I hope to get out more this year.  This was only my 2nd time out since we moved back to Ohio in 2005.  I guess being pregnant and/or breastfeeding for 6 years straight will put a damper on your winter sports.

On another note, I am obsessed with this picture Mylo colored for Phin.  It's Mario and Luigi, because they're brothers just like Phin and Mylo are.  I LOVE when my boys are sweet to eachother!

There are so many things I love about this picture.  The hats, the legs being a different color to make the pants, the sky, that he spelled "from" with a "u".  Everything about it is fantastic and I'm Phin will be keeping it forever.
