A VERY Special Day

Sunday, July 19, 2009

Today was in incredibly special day in the lives of some incredible people we know.
And I feel incredibly blessed that I got to share in it.

See this picture?...

Looks like just a couple of moms with their two-year olds vying for their attention, right? Well, yes, but more importantly, its the picture of two very close girlfriends on a very special day.

The beautiful girl on the right is Pastor Julie Morgan. She is now the senior pastor of the Delaware City Vineyard. Her husband, Robb, is the other senior pastor. This picture is taken at their new church, and today was their first service. It's actually kind of a merger with another church, but that's a loooonnngggg story. Either way, the Lord has been preparing these two wonderful people to plant a church in Delaware, Ohio, and today marked the beginning of something BIG the Lord is doing. It was so special to see them today step right into a plan that God has had since the beginning of time. Robb and Julie are two of THE MOST faithful followers of Jesus I have ever met...I am SO INCREDIBLY proud of them for ALL THEY'VE DONE and ALL THAT THEY ARE in the Lord.

Julie has faithfully served Jesus in any way He's ever called her too. Even as she's watched her husband have the job she knew God has called her to do, she has remained faithful in the small things, and the big things. (Robb has been a pastor at my church for the past 4 years.)

I am ridiculously excited for the things ahead for Robb and Julie, as well as the city of Delaware. God has BIG plans, and these guys are 100% sold out for doing the work of the Kingdom of God.

Here is Robb, preaching this morning about how there is ALWAYS room for one more in the Kingdom...

It was a SPECIAL day. A SPECIAL day indeed.

And if you're wondering, we are not going on this church plant with them. That actually surprises everyone because we are so close with Robb and Julie and their 2 daughters. But we feel that the Lord has us where we're at......but we're always listening for the Lord's voice too, and we'll go (or stay) wherever he tells us.

CONGRATULATIONS ROBB, JULIE, EMMA AND OLIVIA!
We love you and love that you love Jesus with reckless abandonment.

On a side note, today marks the anniversary of another special day...Jon and I got engaged this day 6 years ago. :) After we got engaged, we went to Robb and Julie's house to share the excitement. We all lived in Colorado at the time because we did a church plant out there. Amazing the adventures God takes us on. Amazing.
