Four score and seven years ago...

...something that was slightly more relevant to me than the Gettysburg Address happened.

7 years ago today, my wonderful husband asked me to be his wife.

(I said yes, by the way.)

It was one of the most romantic and special days of my life. We lived in Denver at the time, and he proposed to me over breakfast at this beautiful hotel...

He had arranged for me to have the day off work, and my boss put me on the schedule to trick me. :) So I woke up bright and early to head to work, but instead I found a note (planted by my roommate) to come meet him at the Omni Resort.

I won't go into all the details, but I can assure you I was INCREDIBLY surprised, and wooed by the romance of it all. And he got me the exact ring I wanted. :)

It pretty much looks like this...

I do have some pictures from the day.....somewhere. ??

But here's a picture from our honeymoon, just 3 months after we got engaged. :)

And here we are recently, 7 happy and fun-filled years later...

In that picture we staring off into our future...

...and I'm seeing this ring in my future for our 10 year anniversary...

(*hint-hint* Jon)

It's fun to look back on my engagement story, and those super fun 3 months leading up to our wedding. Preparing for marriage is by far one of the most thrilling times in a woman's life, don't ya think? It just seems so magical. :)

wow, 3 months? that's awesome, amazing, and the whole yard. My wedding ring didn't come with a band, so all I have is a really awesome engagement ring.

And since I've convinced I need to go to Europe for my 10 year, the ring will probably stay as is. Which is ok.
